COLUMBIA, MD – This evening, May 20th, HopeWorks and Howard County First Lady Shani Ball will be holding a “Eat, Drink, Give” fundraiser at Cured 18th & 21st in Columbia. The event will benefit HopeWorks, an organization that helps individuals in our community move from crisis to recovery in situations of intimate partner violence.

“I know this fundraiser will be a wonderful event to benefit a worthy cause,” said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball. “HopeWorks is so important to our community and we should all be supporting their mission. Also, I could not be prouder of my wife, Shani, for her role in the event. She is a strong champion for these issues and an advocate for the vulnerable, as a registered nurse. I am very lucky to have such an amazing woman as my partner.”

The fundraiser will feature specialty drinks, heavy hor d’oeuvers, and raffles. Tickets for this event are sold out, media are still invited to attend.
