“Howard County is a central location in Maryland and accessible to many residents around our state. We’re eager to support vaccination efforts to help end this pandemic and look forward to working with Governor Hogan to stand up a mass vaccination site in Howard County by the end of April. We’ve been in ongoing discussions with MEMA over potential sites, and those conversations will be continuing this week. Howard County has been able to administer vaccine quickly and effectively to our community, and programs like the Mobile Integrated Community Health initiative is a model for how important local, community-run vaccine clinics are to residents. We are hopeful that all the additional sites throughout the state will allow better access to vaccine and more equitable distribution to our vulnerable residents.”
