At-Home Rapid COVID-19 Test Kits

Beginning September 26, every U.S. household can again place an order to receive four more free COVID-19 rapid tests delivered directly to their home. Request free at-home test kits from the Federal Government here

The Health Department continues to offer free rapid test kit distribution from 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday, at the back of the building. Each individual may pick up a total of 4 rapid test kits per day. If you have any questions, please contact our COVID-19 line at 410-313-6284. NOTE: due to the approaching expiration date of test kits, the last day for Health Department COVID test distribution is December 27, 2024. This includes tests available at County Libraries and Senior Centers.

Free test kits are provided to Howard County Library System Branches and Senior Centers. This is a walk-in only service, no reservations. Please contact the library branch or senior center directly to confirm current supply.

Before You Throw Out "Expired" Tests: Check to see if your COVID-19 tests' expiration dates have been extended.

Tests may also be purchased in store or online from many retailers. Check with your health insurance provider to determine if assistance paying for tests may be available.
