Bureau of Facilities
The Bureau of Facilities is responsible for the operation, maintenance, security and for providing custodial services at most county buildings. The Bureau also manages the design and construction of new buildings and building renovations.

Bureau of Highways
The Bureau of Highways is responsible for addressing a number of issues concerning pavement, sidewalks, storm drains, and trees along more than 1,000 miles of County roads for the convenience and safety of the public. This work includes preservation efforts such as road crack-sealing and tree trimming, and remedial efforts such as County road snow removal and filling potholes.

Bureau of Utilities
The Bureau of Utilities administers and maintains Howard County's public water and wastewater systems. Serving more than 85% of the County's population with an average demand of over 22 million gallons of water each day, the Bureau provides County homes with the most comprehensive public water related services available.
