State Delegation

The Howard County House Delegation will meet on Monday, February 3rd at 3:00 p.m. virtually. The agenda for this meeting, including instructions on how to watch the livestream, can be found by clicking HERE.

Public Hearing on Statewide Bills

The Howard County Delegation to the Maryland General Assembly, chaired by Senator Clarence Lam and Delegate Chao Wu, will hold a virtual public hearing via Zoom on Wednesday, February 5th at 7:00 p.m., for resident input on legislation proposed for the 2025 General Assembly session. The livestream of the hearing can be viewed on the Maryland General Assembly's House Committees YouTube channel or by going to the Maryland General Assembly's home page, scrolling down to "Today's Calendar", clicking on the arrow next to "Committee Meetings" found under "Other", and selecting "Howard". Users will then want to click on the red "Live!" button (which will appear once the meeting is in session) to open the streaming video on YouTube. 

During the public hearing, statewide bills, as well as Howard County local bills and bonds that have not yet had a public hearing, will be heard. Please note, Howard County local bills or bond requests that were previously heard in November will not be discussed. A copy of the agenda for hearing can be found by accessed online HERE.

If you would like to sign-up to testify during this hearing, you'll want to complete this Google "Public Hearing on Statewide Issues Signup Form 2025" form prior to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4th. Those who complete the form, will be sent a Zoom link prior to the start of the hearing using the email address provided on the form. To ensure admission to the meeting, be sure to enter the same first and last name you entered on the Google form when joining the Zoom meeting.

If you would prefer to submit written testimony versus testifying live, all written testimony must be emailed to hoc1@mlis.state.md.us by no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 3rd, to allow delegation members ample time to review written testimony before the hearing.
