- Wash wound with soap and water.
- Go to emergency room or medical professional as soon as possible.
- Call the Community Hygiene Program during business hours to report bite for follow up at 410-313-1773. After hours or on weekends or holidays call the Health Department's After-Hours Emergencies line at 410-313-2929.
- An Environmental Health Specialist or Community Health Nurse is on call 24 hours a day to evaluate all reported incidents.
