ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to repair and improve a stormwater management pond adjacent to 8825 Cardinal Forest Circle in Laurel, is expected to begin on or about Tuesday, November 1st. The pond repair will include the replacement of the existing metal principal spillway pipes with a new concrete riser and 42-inch concrete barrel pipe. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late February 2023.

While the project is not expected to impact traffic flow, a temporary lane closure along Cardinal Forest Circle in the vicinity of the project may be required during material deliveries. However, a portion of the sidewalk adjacent to the work site between 8833 and 8825 Cardinal Forest Circle will be closed to pedestrians for the duration of the project. Signs have been posted near the project area to advise motorists and pedestrians of the construction.

The project is partially funded through the County’s Watershed Protection and Restoration Fund.
