The Department of Recreation and Parks is partnering with other government departments and community organizations to host and promote a variety of different activities and celebrations to commemorate Black History Month. Below is the tentative schedule of events and activities:

Saturday, February 1: Game Night at Harriet Tubman Cultural Center from 7-9pm FREE!

Wednesday, February 5: Virtual Conversation: Procurement and Entrepreneurship from 6:30-7:30pm FREE!

Thursday, February 6: Family Movie Night at Harriet Tubman Cultural Center. Doors open at 6:30pm and movie starts at 7pm. Register online hereFREE!

Friday, February 7: Cooking within the Black Diaspora at Harriet Tubman Cultural Center from 7-9pm FREE!

Saturday, February 8: Read-In* at East Columbia Branch Library from Noon-2pm FREE!
