COLUMBIA, MD –Tomorrow, Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will join the Department of Community Resources and Services (DCRS) and the Office on Aging and Independence (OAI) in hosting “Master Aging: Engage, Educate, Inspire,” a reimagination of the 50+ EXPO, which has been the premier event for older adults in Howard County for 20 years. “Master Aging” debuts as a conference-style event for the 50+ community with a keynote address, interactive seminars, 62 exhibitors and a performance by the Capitol Steps.
“Our Master Aging event is going to make a statement: in Howard County, everyone can age with dignity and enjoy the very best quality of life. The future of our community will be age-friendly, building on our strengths to provide the highest quality resources that enrich your lives,” said Ball. “We are dedicated to serving our older adults through education opportunities, affordable living, a culture of wellness, and all the services you need and desire.”
The event will be held at Howard Community College and plenty of free parking is available on campus, with 75 accessible spaces and an additional 275 spaces reserved for those with handicapped placards. Accessible six-person carts will run between the buildings (not on the street) to transport attendees who need assistance.
