About

The Senior Assisted Living Subsidy (SALS) program provides financial support for low and moderate-income older adults in assisted living programs that are licensed by the Maryland Department of Health. The subsidy is paid from State funds on behalf of eligible residents to defray the cost of assisted living. The subsidy supports the cost of services provided in assisted living including meals, personal care, and 24-hour supervision for residents.
