ELLICOTT CITY, MD – As Maryland prepares to conclude another week of coronavirus mitigation measures, Howard County Executive Calvin Ball is encouraging residents to donate blood to ensure the blood supply remains sufficient.
“The COVID-19 outbreak has created a blood shortage, and our community has once again stepped up to host safe blood drives,” said Ball. “If you are healthy and able, we encourage you to make an appointment to donate blood, it can help save a life.”

HoCo Maps
Howard County launched three different map application tools to connect residents with restaurants offering carry-out, local farms with products for purchase, and local organizations collecting donations.
HoCo Food Go now has 169 participating restaurants offering carry-out and delivery.
HoCo Farms Connect has 28 local farms listings detailing products for purchase, including produce, dairy, meat and more.
HoCo Donation Collection now has up 14 locations listed as donation collection sites for essential items.
