Howard County Government offices, 50+ centers and animal shelter will be closed in observance of the Good Friday holiday on Friday, March 29th. However, the Maryland courts and the County’s Alpha Ridge Landfill will be open, and there will be regular Friday curbside trash, recycling and food scrap collections.
County parks, the Gary J. Arthur, North Laurel and Roger Carter Community Centers, and Robinson Nature Center will also be open on Good Friday; however, the Cedar Lane and Schooley Mill Activity Rooms, Meadowbrook Athletic Complex, Harriet Tubman Cultural Center and Kiwanis-Wallas Hall will be open only for scheduled programs. Additionally, while Recreation & Parks community centers and facilities will be closed on Sunday, March 31st for the Easter holiday, county parks will remain open. The Ellicott City B&O Station Museum will be open on Friday the 29th, but will be closed on Sunday the 31st. Other County historic sites in Ellicott City will reopen for the season the first weekend in May.
The Regional Transportation Agency (RTA) will operate on a regular weekday schedule for Friday, March 29th; for more information on RTA, call 1-800-270-9553 or visit www.transitrta.com. Parking regulations and fees will be in effect on Good Friday, March 29th.

County operations will resume on Monday, April 1st, at regular business hours.
