COLUMBIA, MD – Tonight, Howard County Executive Calvin Ball is joining members of the community for National Night Out, a series of events intended to strengthen community ties and enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement. To celebrate National Night Out, there are over 35 neighborhood block parties planned throughout the county. Find a full list of events here. County Executive Ball will be attending 7 community events tonight, listed below (tentative schedule, subject to change).
“National Night Out promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live,” said Ball. “I encourage you to join Howard County Police Department, myself and the thousands of communities across America who are supporting this crime prevention effort by turning on your outside lights and stepping outside tomorrow night to take part in neighborhood events and block parties. Together, we can build a safer Howard County.”

7:20 to 7:30 p.m.: Ridgely Run Center, 8400 Mission Road, Jessup
