ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will present STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering, and Math) Awards to Howard County students tomorrow at the George Howard Building. The categories include the Economics Challenge, First Robotics Competition, FIRST Tech Challenge State Championship, and National Science Bowl. The event will also feature guest speakers Dr. Timothy Collins and Mr. Ashely Lloren of the Applied Physics Lab.

“This event is a celebration of our students’ success. Our students are doing amazing things in science, technology, engineering, and math,” said Ball. “From robotics to science bowl, they are making our community proud and reminding us that the future of Howard County is exciting, and bright. I am confident that the innovative solutions to tomorrow’s challenges will be solved by the STEM winners of today.”
