ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Today, County Executive Calvin Ball and Visit Howard County announced Summer Restaurant Weeks & Craft Beverages will be July 13-26th, 2020. Curbside and delivery options will available for the first time ever. More than 22 restaurant and craft beverage creators are featuring specialty menu items and beverages, a full list is available here. Restaurants can register to participate online here.
“Our restaurants have been significantly impacted during this pandemic, and this is an ideal opportunity for us to give back and support our favorite or new local spots,” said Ball. “For the first time, residents can participate in restaurant weeks and craft beverages with curbside pickup and delivery, providing an alternative to indoor dining. Together, we can support a strong and prosperous business community while remaining safe and healthy.”
Residents can opt for curbside pickup, front-door delivery, or choose to dine on-premises. Participating restaurants and craft beverage businesses are required to follow all CDC guidelines. Residents should directly contact businesses to learn more about their current operating procedures. Beverages, tax, gratuity not included, promotions, and menus and offerings vary.
“Visit Howard County is proud to be the first destination in Maryland to announce a summer restaurant week program,” added Amanda Hof, Executive Director for Visit Howard County, “Despite challenges of the coronavirus pandemic restaurants are still in demand and a much-welcomed amenity for residents and visitors alike.”
Marshal Weston Jr, President and CEO of the Restaurant Association of Maryland said, “Howard County Restaurant Weeks could not come at a better time as restaurants are trying to recover from the loss of business during the pandemic. We encourage people to get out and support the restaurants that mean so much to our communities.”
