Shekinah F. Davis (she/her) is a DEI Training Specialist at the University of Maryland, School of Social Work. She develops and delivers training programs focused on cultural competency and inclusive leadership, collaborating with stakeholders to foster a culture of inclusion. Fluent in English and Spanish, Shekinah has extensive experience working on DEI initiatives in both national and international settings, including community development in Ecuador and child welfare in the U.S. She holds an M.A. in Intercultural Communication from UMBC and a B.A. in Photojournalism from George Fox University.
Paula M. Neira (she/her) JD, MSN, RN, CEN, FAAN is a Navy Veteran, Nurse and Lawyer. She has been a leader in advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion in the U.S. Armed Forces and an international expert in transgender and gender-expansive healthcare policy and care delivery. She currently serves as the Program Director of LGBTQ+ Equity and Education at Johns Hopkins Medicine, Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Health Equity
