National Drug Take Back Day is coming up Saturday, April 30! This is a great opportunity to dispose of unwanted prescription or over-the-counter medications at any of the below locations.
Sharps (needles, syringes, EpiPens) can be accepted only at the HC DrugFree event:
• HC Drug Free - Wilde Lake Village Center (5305 Village Center Drive, Columbia) | 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Also available on Drug Take Back Day and *every* day, 365 days a year, are prescription drop boxes at these locations:
• HCPD Northern District (3410 Courthouse Drive, Ellicott City) | drop box open year-round
• HCPD Southern District (11226 Scaggsville Road, Laurel) | drop box open year-round
• HCPD Community Outreach Building (10785 Little Patuxent Parkway) | drop box open year-round, during regular hours
• Gary J. Arthur Community Center (2400 Route 97, Cooksville) | drop box open year-round, during regular hours
Drug Take Back is part of an ongoing effort to get unneeded prescription opioids (and other medications) out of the home medicine cabinet since in many cases, abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends.
