Howard County police were called to the 5600 block of Furnace Avenue in Elkridge just before 2:30 p.m. for a vehicle pursuit that had started in Baltimore County and ended with a shooting at this location involving Baltimore County officers.
Howard County police arrived and learned that three male suspects were inside the vehicle and that a shooting had occurred before the Howard County officers’ arrival. The number of BCPD officers involved is still being investigated. No officers were injured.
One suspect was taken into custody and a second was taken to Shock Trauma with a gunshot wound. The third suspect initially refused to exit the vehicle, but later complied and was also taken to Shock Trauma with a gunshot wound. Their conditions are unconfirmed at this time.
According to Baltimore County police, the traffic stop was initiated as part of an investigation into a shooting in their jurisdiction earlier this week.
