ORIGINAL RELEASE
Howard County police are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information on the whereabouts of Demitri Duhart, the suspect wanted for attempted first-degree murder in the June 2 non-fatal shooting in Jessup.
At approximately 12:42 p.m., police responded to the Cedar Motel in the 8000 block of Washington Boulevard for a report of a male victim who had been shot. Detectives believe that Duhart shot Quantonio Dunscomb, 43, of Annapolis, before fleeing. Dunscomb was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and is listed in fair condition.
Police continue to investigate the motive but do not believe it was random. Duhart, 32, is described as a Black male, approximately 5’10”, 190 pounds, with dreadlocks. He is known to frequent the Jessup area and Route 1 corridor, but may have left the area.
Duhart is considered armed and dangerous. If he is spotted, contact 911. Any information about his whereabouts or the shooting, contact detectives at 410-313-STOP or HCPDCrimeTips@howardcountymd.gov.
