ORIGINAL RELEASE:
Howard County police are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Elkridge on Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 3:36 p.m., a Lexus GX 460 was traveling south on Washington Boulevard just past Meadowridge Road when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian, an adult female, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lexus was uninjured and remained at the scene.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation; no charges have been filed. The victim will be identified when next of kin has been notified. A portion of Washington Boulevard was closed for approximately three hours.
