Howard County police are investigating a hit-and-run collision overnight in Jessup in which a pedestrian was struck and killed.
At approximately 3:03 a.m. on April 29, a dark-colored sedan was traveling south on Washington Boulevard at Patuxent Range Road when it struck an adult male pedestrian crossing the road. The vehicle did not stop; the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminarily, police believe that the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk.
A portion of Washington Boulevard in that area was closed for 3 ½ hours. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the collision or the vehicle involved should contact PFC Germain at 410-313-3205 or sgermain@howardcountymd.gov.
