ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County project to replace a partially collapsed storm drain pipe located under Frederick Road, approximately 500 feet east of Dunloggin Road, in Ellicott City is expected to begin on or about Monday, January 14. The failing metal pipe will be replaced with a reinforced concrete pipe and a new end wall will be constructed. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by Monday, January 21.
During the project, Frederick Road at the construction site will be closed to thru traffic. Motorists will follow a clearly marked detour using Toll House Road, Old Columbia Pike, MD 103 (Montgomery Road) and Saint John’s Lane. Signs will be in place to advise motorists of the road closure and detour. Additionally, a recorded message at 410-313-4604 will carry project details and updates.
