ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to improve stormwater drainage along a portion of Greenway Drive in the Valley Mede neighborhood of Ellicott City is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, June 27. The storm drain system near 3009, 3010, 3013 and 3014 Greenway Drive will be repaired and upgraded. Curbing and additional inlets will also be installed, and a water line will be relocated. Finally, the eroded stream channel downstream of the storm drainpipe located between 3009 and 3013 Greenway Drive, will be stabilized to reduce instream erosion and improve downstream water quality. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late October.
As of this project, BGE will need to relocate the gas lines at the site prior to the project beginning.
The project is not expected to impact the flow of traffic; however, signs will be posted near the project site to advise motorists and pedestrians of the construction.
