ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County’s Department of Public Works (DPW) will hold a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, November 10 starting at 7:00 p.m., to present plans for an outfall stabilization project along Carrigan Drive in Ellicott City.
Improvements to the site will include the repair of approximately 265 linear feet of a severely eroded storm drain outfall channel located between 9945 and 9949 Carrigan Drive to reduce erosion and sedimentation in the Little Patuxent River. The County plans to construct approximately 170 linear feet of storm drain pipe and a series of rock grade control structures along the channel to reduce the water velocity. This project is expected to begin winter 2020.
The meeting on the 10th will include an overview of the project presented by DPW staff and a consultant from Stantec Inc., followed by a question and answer session. To participate in the meeting by computer, go to www.webex.com and click “join;” the meeting number is 172 865 5511 and “stormwater” is the password. To participate by phone, call 1-650-479-3207 (note, fees may apply) and enter the access code 172 865 5511.
