ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County’s Department of Public Works (DPW) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. in the da Vinci Meeting Room at the Savage Branch Library, located at 9525 Durness Lane in Laurel, to present the plans for a nearby pond repair project.
DPW’s Bureau of Environmental Services plans to repair the Cherrytree Farms stormwater management pond adjacent to 8411 Sand Cherry Lane in Laurel, to make safety and maintenance upgrades and to increase pollutant load reduction. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2020.
The meeting will include a presentation and discussion of the draft project plans, followed by an open discussion. County staff and the project’s design consultant team, Biohabitats Inc., will be on hand to answer any questions and gather public comments.
