ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to rehabilitate a portion of the public sewer along Stonebrook Lane and Blue Sea Drive in the Village of King's Contrivance in Columbia, is expected to begin on or about Monday, August 3. Approximately 40 public sanitary sewer-house connections will be relined using cured-in-place pipe lining to extend each connection’s service life by at least 50 or more years. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by mid-September.

While the County’s goal is to minimize the impact on residents during this project, there may be times when households are asked limit or reduce the amount of water discharged to the County’s sewer main. Prior to any disruption, residents will be notified by the County’s contractors, Granite Inline, LLC and BLD Services, LLC, at least 48 hours in advance.

The project is not expected to impact the flow of traffic in the area; however, signs will be posted at the project site to advise motorists of the construction.
