ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to repair a stormwater management pond in the vicinity of 5362 Briar Oak Court in Ellicott City is expected to begin on or about Monday, November 18. The pond will be regraded and dredged, and inflows will be stabilized.

The project will include the installation of a reinforced concrete riser and a 72-inch reinforced concrete spillway pipe, as well as the grading and stabilization of approximately 250 feet of the pond outfall channel. Plantings will be also installed at the pond’s perimeter. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late September 2020.

The project is not expected to impact the flow of traffic; however, the sidewalk along the south side of Briar Oak Court at the open space connection between 5366 Briar Oak Court and 5300 Tangle Wood Court will be closed during construction. Signs will be posted at the project site to advise motorists and pedestrians of the construction and sidewalk closure.
