ELLICOTT CITY, MD – The Howard County Commission on Disabilities is now seeking nominations for its 2024 Employment Awards program. This annual awards program recognizes Howard County employers and employment professionals who value disability inclusion and advance equal employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The nomination deadline is Thursday, June 20, 2024.
We strive to make Howard County a more inclusive place, that provides the highest quality of life for all. This awards program allows us to recognize and honor our employers and employment professionals who value disability inclusion and are committed to advancing equal opportunities for people with disabilities.
To be eligible for these awards, a candidate must be an employer or employment professional who conducts business in Howard County, along with other requirements.

Award winners will be recognized at a breakfast ceremony hosted by Howard County Executive Calvin Ball and the Commission on Disabilities, at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Kenneth S. Ulman Innovation Hub in Columbia.
The Commission on Disabilities increases public awareness of disability-related issues, serves in an advisory capacity on County disability programs and policies, and works with County Government to ensure compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the ADA.
