ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to install sidewalks and a mid-block crossing on Centennial Lane to improve neighborhood access to Font Hill Wetlands Park in Ellicott City, to begin on or about November 4th. In addition to providing safer access to the park, the project will also provide connections to a potential future pathway to Kiwanis-Wallis Park. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late-November 2024.

Signs will be posted and flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic, as temporary single-lane closures can be expected throughout the project and during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

While the County and its transportation partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, drivers are reminded to stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Please slow down and don’t follow too closely when traveling through a work zone. Remember, work zone safety is in your hands.
