ELLICOT CITY, MD – A Howard County project to repave westbound Twin Rivers Road at Governor Warfield Parkway in Columbia, is expected to begin on or about Monday, November 11th. Weather permitting, the project is expected to take one day to complete.

While the work is being done on the 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., westbound Twin Rivers Road will be closed to all traffic. Variable message boards and signs will be posted to alert the public of the project and corresponding road closure and detour. Motorists will follow a clearly marked detour around the project area using Governor Warfield Parkway to Little Patuxent Parkway to Harpers Farm Road to Twin Rivers Road.

While the County and its transportation partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, drivers are reminded to stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Please slow down and don’t follow too closely when traveling through a work zone. Remember, work zone safety is in your hands.
