ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Executive Calvin Ball launched the 2022 “HoCo Holiday Lights,” today for residents and visitors to access an online map of residential and commercial holiday light displays. In 2021, more than 80 locations were registered across the county from Cooksville and Hanover to Woodstock and Laurel.
The initial launch of this tool during the last holiday season demonstrated the need for this exceptional service so that our community can continue the beloved holiday tradition to walk or drive around our neighborhoods and view the festive holiday lights. Instead of wondering where to go, residents can plan their route around Howard County to support all the residents and businesses that are flaunting their holiday spirit. I hope everyone will join in sharing their festive decorating efforts and make a special tradition to tour the bright lights with their family.
The publicly-driven website will grow throughout the holiday season as more residents and owners register their homes and businesses. The listing provides an address, photos, description of the display, display dates and hours, and any special instructions for that location. To register your home, business, or community holiday lights display, click here.
To map out a holiday lights drive through Howard County, residents and visitors can search for holiday displays by city, zip code or key word. If you have any questions or issues registering your holiday display, please contact HoCoHolidayLights@howardcountymd.gov. Participants are encouraged to register as early as possible.
