ELLICOTT CITY – On Thursday, County Executive Ball and other Howard County officials will hand deliver emergency preparedness packets to business owners on Main Street in historic Ellicott City. As part of Ball’s Safe and Sound Plan, the packets will include materials to help businesses form an emergency plan in case of flooding and access helpful County resources. The group of officials will meet in the B&O Plaza at the bottom of Main Street at 10:30 AM, before proceeding to the businesses.
“Since taking office, I have been happy to see more than a dozen new boutiques, restaurants, and other shops open in historic Ellicott City,” said Ball. “As our town’s economy continues to grow, I remain committed to supporting all business owners, new and old, with resources to stay dry and safe. To ensure our Safe and Sound plan is clear and useful, we are personally bringing support directly to Main Street.”
