Seeking Community Input About Two Elkridge Projects
County inviting public input on the advancement of the planned Elkridge Community Center and Indoor Track facility at Troy Park in Elkridge
Howard County is hosting a community input meeting on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Howard County Public Library System’s Elkridge Branch (6540 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075).
Following a short presentation from Howard County Recreation & Parks and their consultant, the meeting will seek input from residents and community organizations on their ideas for services needed in the community center and indoor track.
Howard County Executive Calvin Ball’s State of the County address outlined a strategic vision for the Elkridge Civic District, which includes significant investments in transportation improvements, community amenities, site acquisition for High School #14, an Elkridge Community Center, and more. This meeting will specifically focus on the following two projects: (1) a new Elkridge Community Center and (2) a new indoor track at Troy Park.
Residents will be allowed to speak for up to three minutes per person. You can sign up in person to speak at the meeting, beginning at 6:15 p.m. on August 27 or online starting August 8 by visiting apps.howardcountymd.gov/E_RAPTestimony/. If unable to attend the meeting, you may provide online testimony (using the link above) now through August 28 at 9:00 a.m. Please note that online testimony is considered public information and is subject to the Maryland Public Information Act.
