Public Meeting and Input
A public meeting was held in the Long Reach High School cafeteria on Thursday, February 27, 2025. The meeting was held in an open house format, with Howard County staff and project consultants present to answer questions about the improvements. A public feedback survey was open for responses through March 14.

Project Overview
In 2025, the Office of Transportation and the Department of Public Works will complete various improvements to Tamar Drive, Phelps Luck Drive, and High Tor Hill. These improvements will include:
Tamar Drive between Snowden River Parkway and MD-175
- Resurfacing of the road asphalt
- Center left turn lane added
- Complete Streets improvements, including bike lanes and marked crosswalks.

Phelps Luck Drive
- Resurfacing of the road asphalt
- One direction bike lane (northbound/climbing uphill side)
- Traffic calming, including speed humps, bump-outs and raised intersections

High Tor Hill
- Resurfacing of the road asphalt
- Traffic calming, including speed humps and raised intersections
