Howard County Government offices, courts, animal shelter, 50+ centers and Alpha Ridge Landfill will be closed in observance of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 30th. As there will be no Monday curbside trash, recycling, yard trim or food scrap collection on Memorial Day, the County’s holiday "slide” schedule will be in effect for the remainder of the week.

Scaggsville Elevated Storage Tank Overflow Improvement Project to Begin
A Howard County construction project to relocate the overflow of an elevated storage tank near the US 29/MD 216 interchange in Laurel, is expected to begin on or about Monday, June 6th. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late June.
