Howard County Executive Calvin Ball hosted a kick-off of Howard County Restaurant Weeks & Craft Beverages at Aida Bistro on January 21. Restaurant Weeks, in partnership with Visit Howard County, will run from January 20 – February 2, 2020. There are nearly 40 restaurants, craft breweries, and distilleries participating with special fixed-price menus.

Howard County Department of Public Works to Host Public Meeting on Lot F Stream Stabilization Project
The County’s Department of Public Works will hold a public meeting on Thursday, January 23 to present plans for a project to stabilize an unnamed tributary to the Hudson Branch in Historic Ellicott City. The stream was significantly eroded stream by 2016 and 2018 floods.

Cherrytree Farms Stream Stabilization Project to Begin
A Howard County construction project to restore and stabilize approximately 1,200 linear feet of stream channel adjacent to 8409 Sweet Cherry Lane in Laurel is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, January 21. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late October.
