Established in 2008 to encourage excellence in building architecture and site design, DAP is composed of seven members representing landscape architects, designers, professional engineers and urban planners. Panel members are responsible for reviewing a variety of projects, including proposed subdivisions, site development plans, conditional use applications and design guidelines. Members serve overlapping three-year terms or until a successor is appointed.

However, meetings are currently taking place virtually via Webex. In addition, architect and landscape architect candidates must be licensed by the State of Maryland.
