UPDATE: Missing woman Young has been located unharmed.
ORIGINAL RELEASE: Howard County police have issued a silver alert and are asking for the public's help to locate an elderly woman from Elkridge.
Grace Ann Young, 79, left her residence in the 5700 block of Main Street in Elkridge at approximately 1:45 p.m. today. She planned to grocery shop in Columbia but has not yet returned home.
Police learned she was in Breezewood, PA around 7 p.m. and headed back toward Elkridge at that time. Family members and police are concerned for her welfare due to age-related health concerns.
Young is described as a white female, approximately five feet tall and 110 pounds. She is driving a silver 2000 Chevy Impala with Maryland plates 47664HT with worn paint and duct tape on the bumper.
Anyone who sees Young or her vehicle should call 911.
