Howard County Government Closings for Presidents’ Day on February 21st
Howard County Government offices, 50+ centers, courts and animal shelter will be closed in observance of the Presidents’ Day holiday on Monday, February 21st. There will be regular Monday trash, recycling and food scrap/yard trim services on the 21st and the Alpha Ridge Landfill will be open.

Howard County’s Food Scrap Collection Program Will Now Reach More Than Half of All Households
Howard County Executive Calvin Ball today announced a major expansion of the county’s food scrap curbside collection program.
