Michaels Way Drainage Improvement Project to Begin
A Howard County construction project to improve stormwater drainage along a portion of Michaels Way in Ellicott City, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, October 3rd. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late February 2023.

The empowering program teaches early-stage and historically under-served entrepreneurs the essentials of business planning, operations, credit building, digital communication, and financial management.

Howard County Department of Public Works’ (DPW) Stormwater Management Division will hold a public meeting on Monday, September 26th at 7:00 p.m. in the Avalon Room at Howard County Library System’s Miller branch, located at 9421 Frederick Road in Ellicott City, to present plans for a project to stabilize the stormwater outfall drainage along Stonehouse Drive in Ellicott City.

Howard County Department of Public Works’ Transportation and Special Projects Division will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, September 28th at 5:00 p.m. at Marriotts Ridge High School, to present plans for a bridge replacement. The proposed project consists of constructing a new single-span prestressed concrete beam bridge on Henryton Road over the Tributary to Patapsco River.

A Howard County construction project to investigate below ground conditions along Church Road and Emory Street in Historic Ellicott City, is expected to begin on or about Monday, October 3rd. The project will include drilling geotechnical borings and test holes, which will be backfilled once the work is finished. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by early October 2022.
