New Howard County Official County Flag Design Submissions Posted
Howard County Executive Calvin Ball today announced that the Howard County Flag Commission has published design submissions received for a new official county flag. The Commission will host a public hearing on Monday, September 30th at 6:00 p.m. to receive community input on the designs received.

Howard County Government Closings for Labor Day Holiday on September 2nd
Howard County Government offices, courts, animal shelter, 50+ centers and the Alpha Ridge Landfill will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 2nd. As there will be no Monday curbside trash, recycling, yard trim or food scrap collection on Labor Day, the County’s holiday "slide” schedule will be in effect for the remainder of the week.
