In response to high temperatures forecast by the National Weather Service, Dr. Kelly Russo, Howard County Health Department Medical Director, has issued a heat alert for Howard County. The alert has been issued for Tuesday, September 5 and Wednesday September 6.

Howard County to Host Tire Recycling Event at Alpha Ridge Landfill
Howard County Executive Calvin Ball today announced the Bureau of Environmental Services will hold a tire drop-off recycling event at the Alpha Ridge Landfill from Saturday, September 9 through Saturday, September 16. Collections will take place 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. each day. Howard County residents may dispose of scrap tires free of charge.

Landing Road Sewer Main Extension to Begin
A Howard County construction project to construct 400 feet of new sewer main to 5667 Landing Road in Elkridge, is expected to begin on or about Monday, September 11th. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late October 2023.
