Howard County Executive Seeks Nominations for Annual Veterans Day Parade Grand Marshal
Howard County Executive Calvin Ball is seeking nominations for the position of Grand Marshal for Howard County’s 8th Annual Veterans Day Parade, set to take place Sunday, November 13th at 9:30 a.m. in Downtown Columbia. In addition to seeking Grand Marshal nominations, the Howard County Veterans Foundation is also looking for community members and groups interested in sponsoring the parade, as well as community groups interested in participating in the parade.

Health Department Awarded Funds to Address Health Disparities by Employing Local Organizations and Community Health Workers
The Howard County Health Department today announced that they have been awarded a $463,369 Local Health Department Disparities Funding Opportunity from the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The award will be used to reduce health disparities related to chronic disease and COVID-19 infections in Howard County.
