Wharff Lane Water Extension Project to Begin
A Howard County construction project to connect residents along Wharff Lane in Ellicott City to the County’s water service, is expected to begin on or about Monday, July 1st. The project will involve the installation of an eight-inch water main, seven water house connections and two fire hydrants. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by early August.

In response to high temperatures forecast by the National Weather Service this week, the Howard County Health Department has issued a heat alert for Howard County. The alert has been issued for Monday, July 8 through Thursday, July 11, daily, from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with high temperatures expected to be in the mid-to-high 90s.

Howard County Department of Public Works’ Transportation and Special Projects Division will hold a public meeting on Thursday, July 11th to discuss the third phase of a pedestrian and bicycle improvement project along Guilford Road in Jessup, between Carroll Heights Avenue and Oakland Mills Road.
